A collision of ancient myth and future vision—Space Traveling Anubis reimagines the past as a force that shapes what’s ahead. This piece is a metaphor in motion: honoring history while pushing beyond it.
At the center is an American sunstone, sourced in Oregon and hand-cut in the studio after being discovered at a gem show along the way. On the reverse, Anubis—the ancient guardian of the afterlife—is intricately carved in a reverse intaglio, then transformed into something entirely new: an astronaut drifting between worlds.
The pendant itself was sculpted from wax and cast in three separate pieces, allowing for depth, dimension, and a truly sculptural presence. On the back, two 2mm white sapphires are set into the eyes, adding a subtle, luminous detail that brings the figure to life from within.
With approximately 19 hours of dedicated craftsmanship, this piece stands as a true one-of-one—an artifact of both time and imagination.
